Luhenka started with a simple realization: making something slowly, with your own hands, is one of the few things that actually quiets a busy mind.

It began with a beechwood frame, a handful of pegs, and a skein of chunky yarn from a half-finished project. What came off the loom wasn't just a swatch of knit fabric - it was an hour where nothing else needed attention. We wanted more people to have that hour.

So we set out to build a loom that removes the parts of knitting that discourage beginners - no needles to master, no patterns to memorize - and keeps the part that matters: slow, steady progress you can watch happen right in front of you.

Every Luhenka loom is designed around that idea. Solid, sanded beechwood that feels good to hold. Numbered pegs so you never lose your place, even if you put a project down for a week. A pin-lock connection so the same loom can grow with you, from a first small project to something big enough for the whole sofa.

We're a small, US-based team, and we make one thing on purpose: a loom that turns a quiet evening into something you made yourself. We'd rather do one thing well than many things quickly.

There's no grand mission behind it, just a belief that a little slowness is good for people, and a loom is a nice, honest way to practice it.
